Travelling is more than visiting a place. It heals our mind and soul. Not only that travelling teaches us lessons about our life. I am a person who is fully mad at travelling. I used to visit different places of country by my bike. When I get bore doing the same things everyday, I go for a long ride.
Similarly, one night I was doing some of my personal regular works I got bored. Suddenly, I thought let's go for a night ride. I called some of my friends and told them I am planning to go for a ride. So, they told they are also coming. After that we decided to go Mawa Ghat for eating Hilsha fish. At that time it was midnight 12.00 am. We started our journey from Mirpur. We were four people. Usually, Dhaka is famous for its traffic jam but at midnight its opposite.

After one hour we were on Dhaka-Mawa highway. This road was just amazing. It's look like we were in a foreign country. The road was so clear, perfect and full of traffic information. We were driving so fast on the road.

If you are travelling through a bike then a tea break is very necessary. If you drink tea while driving it will give you energy and keep you active. So, we did the same. We took a break at Munshiganj for drinking tea.

After the break we again started riding. It was 13th August 2024 and the country was going through very unstable situation. There were no police on the roads. It was becoming very risky to ride at midnight when we were near to Mawa. The local roads were fully dark. There were no road lights at that time. I was a little scared to see so much darkness and silence all around. Dangers are very common on such roads and there is absolutely no possibility of help in case of danger.

At last we reached Mawa Ghat safely on 3.00 a.m. The restaurants along the river in Mawa Ghat were empty that day. So, the staff there started calling us. At the same time, the employees of several restaurants almost surrounded us to take us to their restaurants. If you are not an expert in bargaining then you will definitely get cheated when you go to buy Hilsa at Mawa Ghat. We ordered two Hilsha fish. They asked us for 1500 taka for two fishes but finally we negotiated and bought two fishes for 550 taka.
Mawa Ghat at night is really beautiful. There was a very cold wind and I was enjoying it by standing on the river bank. My mind was racing in the cold air. The view was so beautiful and the sound of the river water was so sweet that all the worries and all the tiredness in the mind disappeared in an instant.

After some time we exited from Mawa Ghat and thought of visiting Padma Bridge as I have never been to Padma Bridge.I would never have believed that the Padma Bridge looks so beautiful at night if I had not seen it with my own eyes. The bridge was fully illuminated. It was very windy when we were crossing the bridge and it was really enjoyable.

Crossing the Padma Bridge, we wanted to return to Dhaka by U-turn but there was no U-turn for a long distance after Padma Bridge. Because of which I was getting a bit annoyed. Because I was only moving forward while my destination was backward i.e. towards Dhaka. Finally, we reached our home in the early morning. Then we all go to sleep and wake up the next day with a fresh mind and start our work again.
Sometimes such small tours can be given which keeps our mind fresh and helps us a lot to concentrate on our work. People naturally cannot live in boredom. So, people need a break and if this break is a short tour where there is an opportunity to mingle with nature, then there is no more to say. It will be a memorable night of my life.
